This was my first 'wearable muslin' attempt at By Hand London's Anna Dress. It's a gorgeous pattern with a really unique feature in the pleats under the bust creating a really flattering shape, especially when paired with the lovely full maxi skirt!
The fabric is just a cheap viscose print from a market stall in Lewisham but worked out just perfectly for this dress! It's already had some summer wear but I think will be great in autumn with a chunky pair of boots too!
I used french seams throughout for a clean finish and chose to omit the thigh high split as I thought I would get more wear out of it without. The only issue i had making this up was with the width of the neckline which gaped forward quite a lot. I added in a couple of darts along the back neckline to combat this but will attempt to grade the excess out before cutting next time!
