Duvet Dress #1

I picked up this great double sided duvet cover from a local charity shop and thought the pattern was perfect for a 50s style swing dress. I love sewing but cant often afford lovely material and have found great things in charity shops recently.

Not wanting to make things easy, I never go from a pattern and I don't like to make the same thing twice!

This was my first attempt at princess seams and a circle skirt, I also taught myself French seams on this project (which are the best thing ever!)

I am so proud with the way this turned out, now what to do with the other half......

Looks absolutely lovely. Well done for finding something that fits the bill in the fabric department. You look lovely too.
