I tested this dress earlier to figure out if the block panels worked on my body. I'm short so I tend to check by making a test version first (http://www.cleverthinking99.com/2014/04/vogue-ponte.html).
The fun part with this pattern is the colour blocks give you lots of ways to figure fit this pattern to your shape. I took 9cm off the bodice to make these blocks stop at my high hip level.
The cutting out picture shows you how I got the houndstooth print to line up. Each piece was cut out separately.
I used lots of pins to line up my stitching and I used a walking foot on my sewing machine. This took a lot of the sweat out of keeping the lines straight while stitching.
The instructions provided are easy to follow and complete.
I did a sway back adjustment and roll shoulder adjustment on the paper pattern.
All of the fabric and notions were provided to me by Minerva Crafts.
And that's it really.
