Patchwork Quilted Christmas Blanket

by Amy Young

August
18

I bought my fabric from http://www.alwaysknittingandsewing.co.uk/ *as always* and went through the same process as all of my other blankets.

They were cut into equal squares and sewn together until it was long enough to lay across a double bed.

I then quilted the blanket with simple crosses and used a thicker Christmas-themed bias binding tape for the 'border' of my blanket.

As much as I'd love to put it up for sale, I don't think I can part with it just yet!

After realising I had quite a few bits of scraps left from the blanket I decided to make a matching pillowcase to go with my blanket using the same methods as I made an 'envelope closure pillowcase' *after getting my head around it*
