REWORKING AN OLD LAMPSHADE

by Margaret Winchester

I made this lampshade in the same way as the cream and red one. I didn't like the colour as it was too pale, so I diluted some food colour gel and sponged it on. I dipped the fringe in and dried it before adding that to the lampshade.
Then I just kept adding beads and braids until it was as over-the-top as I wanted it.
Just try things out and you'll be surprised what you can come up with.
